They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but for me, words can also paint vivid pictures! Reflections and Revelations is a weblog about little and big experiences and their associated insights, which I hope will have resonance for many. I connect the dots between the experiences in my various facets to extract insight and meaning. And as I flit and I flutter through the journey that is life, this little spot gives me a venue to share the meaning I stumble upon every so often.
In my life, I wish to be the catalyst for the highest (creative) potential of others, to create a thriving world, one being at a time. To this end, I use various mediums: writing, visual art, music, theater, and architectural design. I consider Seattle the place of my rebirth, and after a decade in her picturesque womb, ‘home’ has come to be associated with both India’s vigorous monsoons and Seattle’s incessant rain, both the lights of Diwali and the warmth of Thanksgiving, and both the Tricolor on August 15th and The Star Spangled Banner on July 4th. I still tear up inexplicably about the Partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. And I really do believe that love is always the answer.
My second book Thrive! Falling in Love with Life, is releasing in November 2011. My first book of fiction, Ten Avatars, is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
